Antigua and Barbuda adds three new CARIFTA qualifiers


Three athletes have secured qualification for the CARIFTA Games after strong performances, boosting Antigua and Barbuda’s contingent for the regional championships.
Zonique Charles qualified in the Under-17 javelin, where she is the reigning CARIFTA champion, underlining her status as one of the country’s leading young field athletes.
Javon Simon booked his place in the Under-20 400 metres, while Naeem Simon qualified in the Under-17 high jump following an impressive showing.
Officials have welcomed the results, which add further momentum to the national team’s preparations for the CARIFTA Games, with more athletes expected to qualify in the coming weeks.
