Ministry of Works & Forestry Division Collaborate to Replant Trees at Hall Estate

During routine road works on Valley Road North in the vicinity of Hall Estate, a mature tree was inadvertently cut down by a private contractor. As soon as the error was identified by our Project Implementation Management Unit (PIMU), the Forestry Division was engaged to determine the best course of action.
We are pleased to share that this morning (January 23rd, 2026), two Cassia fistula trees provided by PIMU were planted in the same location. This will help preserve the environmental balance, support local biodiversity, and provide shade for generations to come.
The planting was conducted by Mr. Adrian Hall, Manager at Hall Estate; Mr. Trevor Thomas, Driver at PIMU; Mr. Sherwin Harding, Deputy Community Liaison Officer at PIMU; and Mr. Winston Whyte, Project Coordinator at PIMU.
We thank the Forestry Division for their assistance, as we remain committed to responsible infrastructure development and environmental stewardship.
