Animal welfare advocates demand answers from Royalton Antigua over missing dogs

Animal welfare advocates are demanding answers from Royalton Antigua over the fate of a mother dog and her puppies believed to have been born on the resort’s property.
Activists issued a public call on Thursday for the hotel to provide proof that the animals are alive, saying the dogs knew no home other than the resort grounds. The appeal circulated widely on social media, prompting supporters to mobilize.
Advocates also called on members of Dogs and Cats of Antigua and other animal lovers to gather outside the resort’s gates at noon, carrying signs and placards to draw attention to the issue.
Organizers urged the public, including international travelers considering the hotel, to share the call for accountability, arguing that vulnerable animals deserve protection and transparency. As of publication, Royalton Antigua had not publicly responded to the claims.
