Two Charged with Unlawful Possession of Cannabis
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, Wednesday, December 31, 2025
The police have arrested and charged two individuals for separate offences of unlawful possession of cannabis, following strategic police patrols conducted in different locations across the island.
In the first incident, 32-year-old Roshawn Elliott of Potters Village was formally charged with Unlawful Possession of Cannabis after he was found in possession of 1.1 pounds of cannabis. The offence occurred on December 31, 2025, in Potters.
In a separate incident, 48-year-old Terrance “Funk” Roberts of Federation Road, Grays Farm, was also formally charged with Unlawful Possession of Cannabis after being found in possession of 267.8 grams of cannabis. That offence occurred on December 30, 2025, along Fort Road.
The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda continues to intensify its efforts through targeted operations and patrols to deter criminal conduct and enforce the laws.
Members of the public are encouraged to cooperate with the police and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station.
