The Government of Antigua and Barbuda has accorded the late Hon. Keith Meredith Elsworth Ford KC, an Official Funeral on Thursday, September 19, 2024.

In this regard, all flags on Government buildings in the State and on embassies, missions and consulates overseas shall be flown at half-mast on Thursday, September 19, 2024, the day of the Official Funeral.

The late Hon. Keith Meredith Elsworth Ford KC, was a former Attorney General of Antigua and Barbuda serving from 1979 to 1994, under the administration of Sir. Vere Cornwall Bird.

He was instrumental in the drafting of a new constitution when Antigua and Barbuda gained independence in November 1981. Hon. Ford is to date the longest serving Attorney General in the OECS.

The late Hon. Keith Meredith Elsworth Ford KC, was born on the December 20, 1938 and died on August 22, 2024. He is survived by his wife Mildred (to whom he was married for over 55 years), his daughter Jacqueline and four grandchildren.

The Official Funeral for the late Hon. Keith Meredith Elsworth Ford KC, will be held at the Cathedral of St. John the Devine (Church Street) on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 10:00am, followed by interment at the St. John’s Public Cemetery. People attending the funeral are asked to be seated by 9:30am.
