Jamaican Escapee and Mother to be Deported After Surrender and Arrest

Sanjaye Kemar Morgan, a Jamaican who escaped from the Immigration Detention Centre on Sunday, will be deported to Jamaica with his mother, Susan Stephenson, tomorrow.

Morgan surrendered within hours of his escape and was charged with escaping custody.

He pled guilty in court and was reprimanded and discharged, with a deportation order issued.

Stephenson, who has been living illegally in the country since 2020, was also arrested.

Both will leave the island tomorrow.
