GIS; CONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN WITHIN 30 DAYS ON BOOBY ALLEY HOUSING PROJECT
Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne says the contract has been awarded for construction of housing units under the Booby Alley Housing Renewal Programme. He expects the contractors to be on the ground within a month’s time to commence construction.
The Prime Minister, who is also Member of Parliament for St John’s City West, in which Booby Alley falls, made the announcement on Pointe FM’s Browne and Browne Show on Saturday. He says discussions are being held with the Antigua Public Utilities Authority and Public Works Department to complete the preparatory work.
The project will see the construction of dwellings to replace the decrepit structures which had existed for decades. Residents have been temporarily relocated, and will return to live in the newly-constructed homes.
