Six of the ten murders reported in 2024 remain unsolved, according to Commissioner of Police Atlee Rodney. The unresolved cases, including several that deeply shook the community, have prompted Scotland Yard to assist local authorities in their investigations.
Among the victims were two teenage girls, Yenifer Bridge, 16, and Achazia James, 15, whose tragic deaths caused widespread grief. Yenifer was found near Fig Tree Drive in July, while Achazia’s body washed ashore at Runaway Beach in August.
The murder of 27-year-old Kelsi Cain added to the community’s anguish. Last seen on August 15, Kelsi was discovered hours later near Blackman’s Estate, lying in a pool of blood. He was pronounced dead early the next morning.
As authorities continue their efforts to solve these cases, the community remains haunted by the loss of these lives and the urgent need for justice.
