The first phase of the Nikki Beach Resort and Spa project, launched by The Ayre Group and Nikki Beach Hospitality Group, has commenced.
It includes demolition, construction, and the creation of a 500-foot beach access walkway and a new parking facility near the Jolly Beach Resort entrance.
Minister of Tourism, Hon. Charles Fernandez, praised the development for ensuring unimpeded access to the beach for locals and visitors, emphasizing the wheelchair-accessible and well-lit walkway.
The project will provide 82 hotel rooms, 181 luxury branded residences, and 263 resort keys.
Facilities include a beach club with boat access, five food outlets, health and wellness areas, and an exclusive owners’ lounge.
The development is expected to create 300 long-term jobs and a similar number of construction jobs, mostly for local workers.
