Harvard Team Discusses Slavery Remembrance and Reparations with Antigua and Barbuda Leaders
On Tuesday January 14th 2025, the team from the Harvard Slavery Remembrance Program visited the Governor-General of Antigua and Barbuda, H.E. Sir Rodney Williams and Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne.
The team consisting of Mr. Richard Cellini, Director of the Harvard Slavery Remembrance Program, Vincent Brown, Charles Warren Professor of American History and Gabriel Raeburn, Senior Research Fellow held discussions in the progress of the program and the vision for collaboration with the Five Islands Campus and the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.
The team will visit the National Archives and meet with churches to plan access to their historical records.
