Sales & Marketing Manager – Antigua & Barbuda

Description:
WOTA is a Japanese startup company that develops and implements small-scale decentralized water recycling systems. With our groundbreaking approach, we seek structural solutions to the world’s water crisis to make a water-stress-free future a reality.

Together with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda, WOTA is introducing a new water treatment technology to the country, which makes it possible to reuse more than 98% of domestic wastewater onsite and at the household level (media coverage: “Antigua and Barbuda Department of Environment signs MoU with WOTA Corporation”).

To push forward our pilot and commercialization, we are now looking for a Sales & Marketing Manager who will be responsible for planning and implementing various strategies and activities aimed at marketing our solutions in A&B, with a particular focus on engaging potential homeowners for the government housing projects led by CHAPA & NHDURC. A successful candidate will also be in charge of initial communications with our end-users in the event of a problem or initial defects.

Requirements:

  • Resident of Antigua and Barbuda with the right to work in Antigua
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in sales and marketing or a related field, in combination with 5–7 years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated skills in logical and creative thinking, presentations, data analysis and report writing, hypothesis design, and market research
  • Demonstrated experience in generating unique sales plans, pricing strategy development, creating engaging advertisements, email marketing, and generating promotional literature
  • Ability to work closely with and provide concrete feedback to our product design, quality assurance, and business development teams in Japan
  • Customer centricity and strong customer-facing communication skills
  • A startup mindset—adaptability to any potential changes in the project setup or product design itself
  • Basic digital technology skills (e.g., CRM tools, SEO, SEM, MS Office, Google Spreadsheet, Slack, Google Meet)

Other Desired Skills Include:

  • Hands-on sales experience from the PSF (Problem Solution Fit) phase to the PMF (Product Market Fit) phase
  • Ability to increase product awareness by observing the market, competitors, and industry trends
  • Practical experience in new market expansion, product launch, and customer acquisition at a non-IT startup company
  • Generalist skills to pick up work in areas you have no experience in
  • Project experience in multicultural, multinational team structures

Type of Contract:
Independent contractor

Duration of the Contract:
One year fixed-term contract, working on a full-time basis with a 6-month probation period. This contract will be followed by a potential annual contract renewal, subject to project funding availability and performance of the contractor.

Immediately
