Teachers at Pares Secondary staged their third sit-in on Thursday, protesting unresolved issues including an unfinished perimeter fence and a bat infestation that threaten the safety of over 100 students. The Ministry of Education responded by mobilizing overnight efforts to address the concerns.

Principal Letitia Lawrence reported stable student attendance despite the industrial action. Progress has been made, with most dirt and debris cleared, though some remain. Security upgrades are underway, including fortifying the main gate, with additional gates planned. Bat control and ground maintenance efforts are ongoing, aiming to complete the restoration of the 50-year-old facility within two weeks.
