Prime Minister Gaston Browne has announced a reduction of 17- 10 Per cent in the Antigua and Barbuda Sales Tax (ABST) to provide financial relief during the Christmas season.
The discounted rate will be in effect from December 20th to 22nd, allowing shoppers to save on purchases just in time for the holidays.
This seasonal initiative is part of the government’s efforts to support households and encourage economic activity during the festive period. Businesses across the country are preparing for increased consumer activity as residents take advantage of the tax discount.
The ABST discount has been welcomed as a boost to the holiday shopping experience and an effort to ease economic pressures on families.
