Two primary schools on the island, including Potters Primary and another in St. George parish, are dealing with a suspected outbreak of a rare and contagious skin rash.

Potters Primary has alerted parents, reporting that some students have arrived with unusual rashes and open sores.

The school has urged parents to seek medical attention for affected children and to keep them home until cleared by a doctor.

Approximately eight students at Potters Primary have presented with the rash, though its exact nature remains unidentified.

Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
