A former nurse, Jahmesha Millwood, who confessed to forging multiple Covid-19 vaccination cards and stealing blank ones, is now seeking leniency from the court.
Millwood, from Bolans, recently pleaded guilty to 21 counts of forgery and one count of larceny, admitting she took advantage of a temporary pause in digital processing in 2021 to create the false documents.
Although her position allowed her to handle the cards, only vaccination-administering nurses were authorized to certify them.

The timing and recurring signatures on the cards raised suspicions, prompting an investigation involving police and a handwriting expert.
Her attorney, Lawrence Daniels, requested the court consider a fine, emphasizing her remorse. Justice Tunde Bakre is set to deliver a final decision on November 13.
