Lennox Southwell has been sentenced to a total of 12 months in prison for a series of thefts involving Johnnie Walker Whiskey. Acting Chief Magistrate Dexter Wason handed down the sentence last week, following a previous one-month sentence for a similar offense. Southwell stole three bottles of Johnnie Walker Black Label from Dee’s Service Station on November 19, 2023, valued at $450.

Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel added more prison time for additional whiskey thefts on October 26, 2023, from Price Choppers, and on December 29 and 31, 2023, from the Epicurean Supermarket in Jolly Harbour. Each bottle stolen had a price tag of $110. With several prior offenses, Southwell admitted guilt in the All Saints Magistrate’s Court, and the sentences for each charge were made to run consecutively.
