Victory in Europe (V-E) Day Wreath Laying Ceremony
The Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force will be conducting a Wreath Laying Ceremony in commemoration of Victory in Europe Day at the Cenotaph War Memorial in Saint Johns on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 10:00 am.
This national observance commemorates the valiant contributions of Antiguans and Barbudans to the Allied victory in World War II. The ceremony will feature:
- Wreath laying by prominent national figures
- Musical tributes
- Reflections on the sacrifices of our forebears
This ceremony plays an essential role in preserving the memory of this solemn occasion and fostering national engagement with our shared history.
