Change in Maternity Leave provisions

Pursuant to Antigua and Barbuda Labour Code (Amendment) Act, No. 4 of 2022, with effect from April 21,2022 Employers in Antigua and Barbuda are required to give females employees who have been employed with them for minimum of twelve (12) months, at least fourteen (14) weeks Maternity Leave paid at 40% of basic wages for the duration of the leave.
