Tarique Charles, 21, has been fined $1,000 for a stolen generator valued at $1,500 from a police officer. He was charged alongside 23-year-old Rashawn Athanaze, who was accused of receiving the stolen generator. The incident occurred when the officer left the generator on his gallery while at work. Upon returning, he found it missing and later discovered it advertised for sale online. Athanaze pleaded not guilty, leading to the charge against him being dropped, while Charles admitted guilt. He must pay the fine within a month or face four months in prison.
