David Matthias, Director of the Social Security Scheme, has assured that the remaining pension payments delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic will be fully processed by the end of this month.
The backlog, which has affected payments from 2020 to 2022, is nearly resolved, with 2020 and 2021 already completed.
Matthias noted that his team has been diligently working to address the delays, which were caused by pandemic-related disruptions.
He expects all pending payments for 2022 to be finalized by the end of September, ensuring that eligible pensioners will receive their due payments on time moving forward.
