Hon. Kelvin Simon and Senator Johnathan Joseph joined forces to support students at Jennings Secondary School through the “Exams for Every Dream Program,” an initiative created to ensure that no student’s future is limited by financial hardship.
With the deadline for CSEC exam payments fast approaching, these two community leaders made a timely presentation today: a grant covering the full exam costs for five students who were unable to pay.
Hon. Kelvin Simon shared, “Coming from a single-parent household, I know what it is to deal with economic hardship. Students should not have to forego their dreams because of an inability to cover the cost of their exams.”
This marks the beginning of what Simon and Joseph hope will become an annual program in collaboration with their alma mater that will give more students the chance to rise, achieve and pursue their dreams without financial barriers. Because they believe every dream deserves a fair chance.
