Police Close In on Cassada Gardens Robbery Suspect After Search Warrant Reveals Potential Evidence

Source- Real News Antigua: The Police might soon make an arrest in the Cassada Gardensrobbery that occurred last Friday morning, March 22, sources say.

Reports say that one of the male victims who was held up by threegunmen is being questioned by the Police in relation to the incident,which many speculated had been an inside job.

A source says the 27-year-old Shell Beach resident – who was shotin the buttocks during the alleged robbery – appears to be a suspectin the case, and the Police have executed a search warrant on hishome.

Reportedly, officers went on duty at the man’s Shell Beach residenceat about 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, and executed a searchwarrant on a bedroom he occupies at Shell Beach Seafood.

It is alleged that during their search the officers found a black mask.

The shooting victim later took the lawmen to his father’s residencein All Saints, where he handed over an iPhone 11 with a SIM cardthat apparently had two numbers.

Reports say the Police seized the items and took them to the St.John’s Police Station for investigation purposes.
