Prime Minister Gaston Browne has stated that he does not want legal action taken against the teenager who wished death upon him on social media following the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.

The teenager had posted that Browne should be next.

In response, Browne said, “I don’t want to trivialize this, but young people sometimes act outside of character and say things they don’t mean. I can’t say that the young lady knew the consequence of what she said.

Maybe she should be given a break. I haven’t followed up on it, and I don’t know her or her parents. It might be a case of someone seeking attention and posting something inappropriate. I’m hoping they’ll warn her, but I’m not advocating for legal action against her.”

The police said last week they were investigating the matter.
