New Zealand’s funding for Antigua and Barbuda’s SIDS Fourth conference is crucial for setting the agenda for small island developing states.

Foreign Affairs Minister E.P. Chet Greene thanked New Zealand for their support.

The meeting with New Zealand’s High Commissioner, E. Linda Te Puni, discussed cooperation, including New Zealand’s sargassum weed research and skills courses for Antiguans and Barbudans.

High Commissioner Te Puni will attend the SIDS4 conference, strengthening relations. They also bonded over cricket, shared history, and Commonwealth membership.

The meeting took place alongside the House of Representatives meeting, and afterward, the High Commissioner met with Opposition Leader Jamale Pringle.
