Delon Charlery, the accused in the murder case of customs officer Zorina Benjamin, has formally entered a plea of not guilty to the murder charge leveled against him.

The lifeless body of Zorina Benjamin was found in her Golden Grove residence in November 2021, bearing a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

Her partner, Delon Charlery, a St. Lucia national, was subsequently charged with her murder.

Charlery has been in custody since his initial court appearance and made multiple appearances in the St. John’s Magistrate’s Court before the case was transferred to the High Court.

During his recent arraignment, Charlery denied involvement in his girlfriend’s tragic death.
