On Wednesday, the Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda was presented with a proposal from the Minister of Tourism regarding the enhancement of the Hawksbill Hotel.
Formerly a Rex Resort, similar to Halcyon Cove, the hotel will undergo extensive renovations, with the firm allocating millions of dollars for the project.
The aim is to complete the upgrades by October 2023, just in time for the upcoming tourist season of 2023/2024.
As the demand for accommodations in Antigua and Barbuda continues to rise, it is necessary to expand the number of hotel rooms available.
Additionally, the Minister of Tourism has indicated that the reconstruction and refurbishment of the old Halcyon Hotel is progressing well and it is anticipated to be ready to welcome visitors by the end of this year.
