A 36-year-old man received a 17-year prison sentence for raping his ex-girlfriend in July 2019.
The assault occurred a month after their relationship ended when he tricked her into meeting, claiming he had something to give her.
Once she entered his rented car, he forced her to surrender her phone, drove her to an isolated area in Bendals, and physically and sexually assaulted her.
The court found him guilty of this specific incident in April.
