On Thursday, the Lower House of Parliament approved an amendment to the Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Regulations.
A Memorandum of Agreement was signed with five regional countries to harmonize their Citizenship Investment Programs. Consultations were held with the European Union (EU) to address program gaps.
The agreement raises the minimum investment to US$200,000 and establishes a Regional Regulatory Commission adhering to international standards.
It also promotes information sharing among participating countries and involves further discussions with external stakeholders, including the EU and the British Government.
