The Liberta public cemetery on the island has reached full capacity, prompting its closure. The last burial took place recently, and the community now requires a new burial site.

Member of Parliament for St. Paul E.P Chet Greene is working with the Ministry of Health and Environment to find a suitable new location but is facing challenges.

Despite this, Greene is committed to ensuring that the final resting place of loved ones is maintained.

He has assured the community that efforts will continue to keep the cemetery clean.

However, if a new location is not found soon, burials may have to take place outside the community, which goes against tradition.

Greene is determined to find a new location quickly, recognizing the need for a dignified resting place for all.
