Honouring the Life and Legacy of Sir Aziz Hadeed A Tribute from the Guild President

By Kerron McKenzie – Guild President at UWI five islands campus
It is with profound sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Sir Aziz Hadeed.
On behalf of the Guild of Students and the entire student body of The University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus, I extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, colleagues, and all who mourn his loss.

Sir Aziz was more than Chairman of our campus he was a visionary, a nation-builder, and a firm believer in the power of education to transform lives. His leadership, generosity, and unwavering dedication to The UWI Five Islands Campus helped shape this institution into a place of opportunity, growth, and hope for so many students across Antigua and Barbuda and the wider region.
His contribution to this campus cannot be measured only in titles or accomplishments, but in the lives he impacted, the doors he helped open, and the future he believed was possible for generations of young people. Because of his commitment, many students have been empowered to dream bigger, aim higher, and pursue their purpose through education.
Sir Aziz leaves behind a legacy that will continue to live on in every student who walks these grounds, every graduate who carries their knowledge into the world, and in the continued development of this campus he cared for so deeply.
As Guild President, and on behalf of the students of UWI Five Islands, I offer our sincere gratitude for his service, his vision, and his lasting investment in our future.
May his soul rest in peace, and may his legacy forever remain a guiding light to this institution and to all whose lives he touched.
