Around twelve individuals are on the verge of completing a comprehensive three-month solar panel installation course, scheduled to conclude this Saturday.
Initiated in July and guided by industry professional Alex Spencer, this part-time course aims to bolster the pool of skilled tradespeople in Antigua and Barbuda.
Franz DeFreitas, the course organizer and United Progressive Party (UPP) caretaker for St John’s City South, emphasizes the need for alternative energy expertise in the region.
He envisions this course as a foundation for participants to pursue further certification, ultimately enabling them to generate income and share their knowledge with other countries.
Upon completion, participants will receive certificates, subsidised by DeFreitas himself.
