Washington Bramble
Transgender social media personality, Washington Bramble, made her first appearance before a High Court judge on allegations of insulting Chief Health Inspector Sharon Martin via Facebook posts.
Bramble opted to represent herself and declared her intention to file multiple applications.
The charges stem from video uploads and insulting posts posted on February 8 and 9 last year.
The initial post was made following a health inspection at her residence, which had been prompted by a neighbor’s report regarding an incident involving faeces.
Bramble received her case file and is set to be arraigned on October 30.
She intends to challenge the case’s legitimacy, citing potential corruption and procedural issues, as well as the absence of a complainant in the matter.
