Armanii Announces He Will Not Perform at UPP Labour Day Concert in Antigua
Music fans were left surprised late Sunday night after popular artist Armanii announced on Instagram that he will not be in Antigua for the highly anticipated Labour Day 2025 concert at Ffryes Beach, despite being billed as a featured act.
In a brief Instagram Story posted to his verified account just after 11:30 p.m., Armanii stated plainly, “I will not be in Antigua,” without offering any further explanation.
The announcement comes as a blow to supporters of the United Progressive Party (UPP), which is hosting the Labour Day celebration featuring a lineup of local and regional entertainers. Armanii was prominently featured on promotional flyers alongside fellow performer Ayetian and several other artists scheduled to take the stage on Monday.
As of early Monday morning, no official statement had been issued by event organisers addressing Armanii’s absence, though social media was already abuzz with reposts of the artist’s story. His Instagram reel from earlier also featured a personal moment with his child, hinting at possible family priorities.
While the artist has not elaborated on the reason behind his withdrawal, his confirmation puts an end to speculation and raises questions about whether he was officially contracted for the performance or if plans changed last minute.
The concert at Ffryes Beach is still expected to proceed with its scheduled lineup, including Daddy Barlow & Revo Band, Kutting Edge, Vicious, Queen Ivena, and others.
No word yet on whether a replacement act will be added.
