Antiguan and Barbudan students have achieved a significant breakthrough in this year’s CSEC examinations, with a pass rate surpassing expectations.
Preliminary data reveals that 75.4% of students secured passing grades, marking a notable increase from the previous year’s 72.3%.
Applauding the accomplishment, local CXC Registrar Myrick Smith noted potential for further growth, acknowledging that some grades were yet to be resolved.
While 606 students achieved success in five or more subjects, the country excelled in 23 out of 33 subjects compared to regional averages.
Challenges in areas like Mathematics prompt a focus on further improvement.
Anticipated adjustments may elevate the already commendable results.
