Another drug bust at the Port, Cannabis Valued Over 400k Seized

Cannabis Valued Over 400k Seized at Ports of Entry- CLICK HERE TO JOIN WHATS APP GROUP

In less than 48 hours, close to half of a million dollars worth of Cannabis was seized at the two main ports of entry, following two separate operations between the Police and Customs.

On Tuesday 17 May, a cardboard box containing 29 pounds of cannabis was found at the airport cargo shed, during a search. The substance is estimated to value $174,000.

Prior to that on Monday, a total of 54.4 pounds of Cannabis was also discovered among three barrels of food items at the Deep Water Harbour valued at $320,400.

This gives an overall total of 83.4 pounds of Cannabis with an estimated Street value of $494,400.00

The illegal substances were taken to Police Headquarters.

Investigations remain ongoing.
