Antigua and Barbuda athletes record personal bests at CARIFTA Games

Several Antigua and Barbuda athletes posted new personal bests in track events at the CARIFTA Games, highlighting a strong day of progress for the national team.
In the 400 meters, Tyra Fenton, Ryan Aikin, Jaeda Pigott and Shaquan Garding all achieved personal best performances. Aikin clocked 49.38 seconds, Garding finished in 51.93, and Pigott recorded 57.65.
Later in the day, Elite Thomas and Shawn-Ze Joseph delivered personal bests in the Boys’ Under-17 1500 meters. Joseph ran 4 minutes, 21.41 seconds, while Thomas finished in 4:43.74.
The performances reflect continued development within the team, with multiple athletes improving their marks across events. Officials said the results underscore the athletes’ preparation and commitment as competition continues.
