ABLP candidates share Easter messages of hope, unity and service

Several Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party candidates used the Easter weekend to send messages of hope, renewal and community commitment to their constituencies and the wider public.
Among them was Rawdon Turner, who extended “warm Easter greetings” to the people of St. Peter and the country, describing the season as a reminder of “hope, renewal, and the strength we find in unity.” Turner said he remained committed to helping build stronger communities and wished households peace, joy and blessings.
Dwayne George also marked the occasion, saying Easter Sunday in community, surrounded by “faith, family, and love,” was a reminder of what matters most. He wished residents and their loved ones a joyful and blessed Easter.
Michael Freeland, in a message to the people of St. George, said he was grateful for the chance to celebrate with friends and neighbours at St. George’s Anglican. He said Easter called on people to embrace hope, renewal and togetherness, adding that the season was a reminder that “better days will come.”
Charles “Max” Fernandez shared Easter greetings as well, wishing families renewed hope, peace and blessings. He said the message of resurrection and new beginnings should inspire people to support one another and work together for a brighter future in their community.
Anthony Smith Jr., addressing residents of All Saints West, said Easter was a time for renewal, hope and togetherness. He used the message to reaffirm his commitment to the constituency, saying he remained ready to listen, serve and continue working to uplift communities in the area.
Maria Browne, in an Easter greeting to the people of St. John’s Rural East and the wider nation, wished that the risen Christ would bless homes with peace, families with love, and communities with unity and hope. She said the sacred season should renew faith and “strengthen us as one people and one nation.”
The messages, while varied in tone, shared common themes of faith, family, resilience and public service as candidates joined the wider Easter observance across Antigua and Barbuda.
